C shift welcomes Chief Ken Jones
to the 680 club!
Chief Ken Jones, a well known and respected retired chief officer of the
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department started his firefighting career at
Herndon station 4 in 1971. He progressed through the ranks and continued
on to become the Deputy Chief of Training for the FRD. As the Deputy Chief
he expanded the training academy with the "railroad yard" and developed
the History of the Department (HOD) program now taught in all recruit
schools. He also served 21 years in the United States Coast Guard and is
now the Fire Chief of . Members of 404 wish
